Clubs & Activities at Southwest Middle School
At Southwest Middle School, learning extends far beyond the classroom. We offer a dynamic selection of clubs and programs designed to enrich our students’ academic, social, and creative lives. Our goal is to encourage curiosity, leadership, teamwork, and school pride for every student in grades 4–6

Chess Club
Students sharpen their critical thinking and strategy skills while enjoying friendly competition in our Chess Club. All experience levels are welcome! -
D.A.R.E Delivered in partnership with local law enforcement, the D.A.R.E. (Drug abuse Resistance Education) program teaches students valuable lessons about making safe and responsible choices.

Quiz Bowl For those who love fast-paced trivia, Quiz Bowl offers a team-based academic competition where students test their knowledge in a wide range of subjects.

Robotics
Budding engineers and coders will love our Robotics Club. Students work together to design, build, and program robots in fun, hands-on challenges. -
Student Government
Through Student Government, learners get the opportunity to represent their peers, plan events, and develop leadership and collaboration skills. -
Yearbook Committee
Students can contribute to capturing the spirit of the school year by helping design, write, and photograph for our school yearbook.
